Build-up : 5 Santé acquires Zander clinic

Press Release

5 Santé, a group of clinics specialized in rehabilitation of chronical diseases,  realizes a new build-up operation

5 Santé, a group of post-acute care private clinics specialized in rehabilitation of chronical diseases, acquired the Gustav Zander center, a post-acute care clinic, based in Aix-les-ains (Savoie). The €10m revenue clinic treats locomotor, cardiovascular and nervous diseases, providing overnight and outpatient care through 122 beds and seats.

5 Santé had already acquired Le Pontet in June 2017, a post-acute care clinic based in Hauteville-Lompnes (Ain). It is therefore the second build-up operation realized by the group since inception mid-2015, when the management team took its independence with the support of Parquest Capital.

More than 6,000 patients are rehabilitated each year in the group’s 5 clinics: the 4 « Cliniques du Souffle », treating patients with respiratory diseases and nutritional disorders, and the Val Pyrène clinic, patients with addictive disorders.

With the acquisition of Gustav Zander center, a flagship health institute in its region, 5 Santé expands its rehabilitation expertise to locomotor, neurology and cardiology. 5 Santé also strengthens its footprint in the Rhône-Alpes area.

According to 5 Santé’s CEO, Catherine Miffre, this marks a major step in the group’s development. As a matter of fact, in a post-acute care and rehabilitation changing environment, this acquisition is consistent with 5 Santé’s ambition to bring together key independent clinics and continuously improve the quality of care services. In order to fuel its expansion, the group seized the opportunity offered by the operation to raise additional funds from a pool led by CIC Sud-Ouest and including Crédit Lyonnais, Crédit-Agricole Sud-Méditerranée, Société Générale and Arkéa.

Thanks to this new build-up, 5 Santé now operates 6 clinics for a total of 570 beds and seats and achieves a revenue of circa €45m with 500 employees.
